Hallo mein Name ist Rumi. Im November 2017 wurde ich von der lieben Ehrenamtlerin Laura hungrig hinter einer Konditorei gefunden. Sie bemerkte, dass ich blind bin und nahm mich mit. Bei Sneha\u2019s Care fand ich Unterschlupf.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meine Umgebung beobachte ich aufmerksam und freue mich sehr \u00fcber menschliche Gegenwart. Ich bin aktiv und immer auf Achse. Sobald ein Mensch in der N\u00e4he ist, renne ich auf ihn zu, um mir Streicheleinheiten abzuholen und zu spielen. Daher merken die meisten aufgrund meines lebhaften Verhaltens erst nach einiger Zeit, dass ich blind bin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meine Erblindung hat mir meine Lebensfreude nicht geraubt. Warum auch?! Mein Geh\u00f6r ist gut ausgepr\u00e4gt und erm\u00f6glicht mir eine bewundernswerte Orientierung in der mir gewohnten Umgebung. Ich bewege mich sicher im Shelter, renne in hohem Tempo um die Ecken, klettere den H\u00fcgel im hinteren Bereich des Shelters hinauf und laufe zielgenau auf Tore, N\u00e4pfe und andere Hunde zu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ich kuschle gern und genie\u00dfe es geb\u00fcrstet zu werden. Mitarbeitern und Ehrenamtlern folge ich neugierig auf Schritt und Tritt und auch bei den t\u00e4glichen F\u00fctterungen bin ich kein bisschen sch\u00fcchtern, sondern immer ganz vorne mit dabei.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hunde wie ich, die schon ausgewachsen sind, dazu noch blind, finden keine Familie in Nepal. Weil viele Hunde auf sich gestellt auf der Stra\u00dfe leben m\u00fcssen, k\u00f6nnen die Menschen sich einfach einen Stra\u00dfenhund aussuchen \u2013 und das sind meist gesunde Welpen. In ein Tierheim muss daf\u00fcr niemand fahren. Aufgrund meiner Einschr\u00e4nkung habe ich keine Chance, ein eigenes Zuhause zu finden.<\/p>\n

Mit Laura habe ich aber eine ganz liebe Jahrespatin gefunden und sage herzlichst DANKE!<\/p>\n

Hello my name is Rumi. In November 2017, I was found hungry behind a pastry shop by the dear volunteer Laura. She noticed that I am blind and took me along. At Sneha’s Care I found shelter.<\/p>\n

I watch my surroundings attentively and am very happy about human presence. I am active and always on the move. As soon as a human is around, I want to cuddle and play. So, most of the time, because of my vivacious behavior, they do not realize directly that I’m blind.<\/p>\n

My blindness did not take away my joy of life. Why should it have? My hearing is well developed and allows me an admirable orientation in my usual environment. I move safely in the shelter, run around the corners at high speed, climb up the hill in the back of the shelter and run aiming for gates, bowls and other dogs.<\/p>\n

I like to cuddle and enjoy being brushed. Employees and volunteers i follow curiously and even with the daily feedings, I’m not a bit shy, always at the forefront.<\/p>\n

Dogs like me, who are already full-grown and blind, can not find a family in Nepal. Because many dogs have to live on the street, people can just pick a street dog – and these are mostly healthy puppies. Nobody needs to drive to an animal shelter. Due to my restriction, I have no chance to find a home of my own.<\/p>\n
